I remember the feeling. It’s like it was yesterday, however it was over 20 years ago.  The year had been a hard one. Work was scarce, and the small town I lived in offered little in the way of opportunities, so I struck out for the west.  I had always been told that higher paying jobs were not found in the south, so off I went, in search of more.

When I saw the mountains stretched out before me, I knew. I had found home. God’s creation was a wonder to behold. My eyes never grew tired of the beauty that surrounded me.

I often wondered what might have become of me if I hadn’t taken that chance.  I’m glad I took it.

Don’t ever fear the unknown. Just take a step into it and see if you aren’t amazed!
